2 Things | Mugs & Moccasins

Posted on April 29, 2013

There's a latte in my lens! Thanks for the mug @annieb_1113 #sistersurprise
We cleaned out the cabinets this past weekend and have been organizing what’s in our kitchen. With that I also purchased a couple of Keep Cups (I waited for them to go back on sale on fab.com) to add to our cabinets since they’re the perfect size and we use them daily with our Dolce Gusto Circolo machine. So it was a nice surprise when my sister gave me this coffee mug that looks like a Canon camera lens! My DSLR is a Canon and I’ve seen these mugs before but never bought one for myself. She thought it was cool and picked it up for me.
Happy feet.
I’m also mildly obsessed with my Minnetonka moccasins. Two of my girlfriends have always been fans and have worn them faithfully or a version of their boots since forever. I finally picked up a grey pair for myself and I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner. They’re super comfy and they seem to go with a lot more than I thought they would. I have a feeling a pair of the booties will be in my future for the fall.

Spectacles

Posted on February 13, 2013

New glasses! They are cat eye perfection.
I got new glasses these week. I feel like they are gloriously retro and fun. I also feel like as soon as I put them on I have to comb my hair again and put on a fresh coat of lipstick. These could cause some trouble. My girlfriend said they’re the ultimate sexy librarian pair of spectacles. I’m definitely in love.

September Issue Palette
Interested in what my fall favorites are right now? Then pop on over to We Heart This to see what I’m talking about. Also, I’m so obsessed with the Bare Escentuals September Issue palette that I’m going to try to do a few looks with it and take pictures to show you how amazing it is! Stay tuned.

My Polka Dot Party

Posted on September 21, 2012

I feel like I would fit nicely in a @katespadeny ad today. Polka dot sweater, green pants & just a touch of bling! #ootd
On Monday I wore green ankle length slacks with a white and black polka dot sweater on the top. I thought that was a fun way to start off my work week wardrobe.
Polka dot pants! HOORAY! #ootd
For Friday I’ve reversed it with a deep magenta tank, mustard colored cardigan and burgundy cotton pants with pink polka dots on the bottom. I even pulled out mustard wedges for even more color. I got the pants last night on clearance at Loft for $30 – SCORE! I also really like the mix of yellow with the burgundy and pink in the pants. Who said my casual Friday work wear had to be boring? Have a great weekend!

Filling in the Gaps

Posted on September 19, 2012

I’ve been doing a little bit of shopping for fall/winter. A pair of pants here, a bold necklace there…I realize I have a few gaps in my fall winter wardrobe and a few items were needed. So what have I purchased recently?
Came home to a great @fab order. Gorgeous green velevt and leopard ballet flats by Henry Ferrera. #love #shoes
I’ve been super excited that gorgeous emerald green is a big color for fall – it’s my favorite color. I feel like I have to scoop up every green thing I can find while they’re in stock. On Fab.com (my favorite flash sale site) I found these fantastic green velvet and leopard print ballet flats! They are even better than the picture and a definite must for work chic flats. Other great green purchases have also included a green jean jacket from Old Navy and these cute green pants that I wore to work on Monday.
I feel like I would fit nicely in a @katespadeny ad today. Polka dot sweater, green pants & just a touch of bling! #ootd
I felt like I could’ve fit into a Kate Spade ad seamlessly on Monday with my polka dot sweater, green pants and little touches of bling in my accessories. I love dressing for fall! I also love adding bold pieces to my jewelry stash.
Since I passed on the super sexy dress I decided the neon necklace would be worn a lot more. Another successful @tjmaxx trip.
I found this Juicy Couture necklace for $39 at TJ Maxx the other day. I opted out of the matching bracelet, I never really go matchy matchy. I love the highlighter yellow stones and the sparkle to it. It has already punched up a black and white dress and blazer combo. I love fall shopping, have you picked up anything good lately?
